A man is expected to make his first court appearance in East London on Wednesday following his arrest this week for murder.
The suspect allegedly stabbed the 47-year-old Lindilwa Peni several times before dumping her body at a chicken farm near Mdantsane.
It is alleged that Peni, who lives in Scenery Park, was reported missing on the 10th of June.
Police interviewed the suspect which led to him confessing to the crime.
The K9 unit was called in to assist with retrieving the body which was dumped down an embankment in dense bushes.
The victim had multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
