EL cage fighter's sentencing postponed

Sentencing of an East London cage fighter who was convicted of raping a minor girl has been postponed in the regional court.

Fight Force lightweight champion, Ryan Van Niekerk, was found guilty in July.

The victim was the sister of his former fiance'.

It was also revealed in court that a tracking system in his company car had placed him at the secluded spot where the girl said she had been raped.

Van Niekerk, who pleaded not guilty, remains in custody until his sentencing on September,11.
