Eastern Cape police have arrested more than 80 suspects, including 11 juveniles, following incidents of looting of several foreign owned businesses in Grahamstown and Joza.
Spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender says the looting took place on Wednesday afternoon, and all those arrested are being detained.
She says the suspects face charges of public violence.
Govender says sporadic incidents are still being reported and police are closely monitoring the situation and they are maintaining high visibility.
