The EFF has threatened court action should the National Assembly approve a recommendation by Parliament's powers and privileges committee to suspend 12 of its MPs without pay.
Economic Freedom Fighters spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says there was clearly a mandate from ANC headquarter at Luthuli House that the EFF must be dealt with in the harshest possible terms.
The committee will adopt its final report on Monday, following which this will be submitted to the National Assembly for approval.
The committee recommended earlier today that Ndlozi, EFF leader Julius Malema, chief whip Floyd Shivambu and three other members be suspended for 30 days without pay.
It was recommended that a second group of EFF MP's be suspended without pay for a shorter period - all as a result of their heckling of President Zuma in the National Assembly during question time of the 21st of August.
