EC women arrested for running illegal shebeen

 Police in the Eastern Cape shut down three illegal shebeens on Christmas day and arrested the owners.

Police Spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha says they were charged with dealing in liquor without a license.

The three woman aged between 25 and 46 were released with a warning and has to appear in the Butterworth Magistrates court on the 7th of January.

Police confiscated alcohol to the value of R12 000
