Eastern Cape police report that two traffic officers were arrested on Sunday on charges of corruption.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says the 2 women were arrested in the afternoon and that R6 300 was recovered.
He said this followed an undercover operation following a complaint from a member of the public where the officers demanded R800 rand as a bribe.
The woman are expected to appear in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court on Monday.
