Police in Makhanda are investigating a missing person case following the disappearance of a teenage girl.
Spokesperson Captain Mali Govender, said 15-year-old Sikelelo Royi, is a grade nine student and was last seen by her mother at about 19:20 on 28 February.
The youngster is believed to have been on her way to Peddie to see a prophet but never returned home.
Govender said the family became concerned when Royi contacted them on Tuesday saying she did not know where she is.
Royi said all she can remember is that she was on her way to Qonce, formerly King Williams Town.
Govender said several attempts to contact both the prophet and the girl afterwards have been unsuccessful.
Police are appealing to anyone with information on her whereabouts or who may have seen Royi who is small built to contact them.
Acting District Commissioner Brigadier for the Sarah Baartman District Brigadier John Lebok says Royi was the second teenager to go missing which is a huge concern for him.
He urged parents, guardians and caregivers to ensure that children are left in the company of responsible adults when they are not present and report them missing as soon as possible.
