The Eastern Cape Transport Department has confirmed the deaths of two Dale College junior learners in an accident on Tuesday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, said 14 others sustained injuries in an accident that happened on the N2 road just outside Qonce (KWT) on Tuesday afternoon.
He said the boys were travelling from a school sporting event in East London when the driver lost control of the vehicle which overturned, killing the two boys on impact, while one sustained critical injuries.
Binqose said the driver is among the injured that have been rushed to hospitals in Mdantsane and East London.
Tragedy also struck in April when another learner, Lisakhanya Lwana, was found dead on the R63 between Qonce and Masingata on 3 April, in what police suspect to a be hit-and-run accident.
However, his parents reportedly suspect foul play in his death.
