The deputy-minister of Correctional Services, Nkosi Phathekile Holomisa has condemned the senseless killing of a 38-year-old Eastern Cape prison official, allegedly by her husband.
The victim and her 38-year old husband, who is also a prison official, were stationed at the Goedemoed Correctional Centre in the Free State.
It is alleged that her husband severely assaulted her following a heated argument.
The husband was arrested on Friday and will appear in the Aliwal North Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
