An Eastern Cape school principal is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
Provincial police spokesperson, major Ernest Sigobe, says the 51 year old man faces two counts of sexual abuse of two 15 year old girls and the rape of a 19 year old school girl.
He says the principal, from a school in the Bityi Locality, handed himself over to police on Monday.
Sigobe says the incident allegedly occurred while the principal was taking the girls home from a sporting event in Qunu in February.
He says the girls only laid the charges with the Bityi police last week.
