Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle and a number of MEC's were in the Sara Baartman District Municipality on Thursday as part of the Executive's outreach programme.
The spokesperson for the Office of the Premier, Mxolisi Spondo, said this was the first Outreach programme in the current term of government and would be rolled-out to all other districts and metro's in the province this year.
Deputy Director General for Executive support services in the Premier's office Mahlubandile Qwase told Algoa FM news that skills development, infrastructure and support for youth initiatives were some of the issues raised by the communities.
"Some of the issues are not likely to be resolved very quickly, they can be resolved in the medium to long term but there are issues that can be dealt with immediately. Some of the MEC's have already indicated that certain things are going to be dealt with, for instance the issue of the library in Koukamma.
