Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle and his Executive Council are embarking on a 2017 Back to school Campaign this week to ensure smooth commencement of the new school year.
Primary and High Schools across the province open on Wednesday.
The Back to school Campaign is a national campaign undertaken by government that seeks to support the return of learners and teachers to school after the major summer school vacation.
In the Eastern Cape, the Campaign runs from Wednesday through to Friday.
As part of the programme Premier Masualle will visit Tshatshu Primary school in the Buffalo City metro on Wednesday, Ngangol-wandle Senior Secondary School in the Amathole district on Thursday and Bethania Senior Secondary School in the Joe Gqabi district on Friday.
Members of the Executive Council have been deployed across the Province and will each adopt a school he or she will support in the 2017 schooling year.
