Eastern Cape police have opened an investigation, following the suspected drowning of three young girls along the Wild Coast.
Butterworth police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says it is alleged that two sisters, aged 13 and 14, and their 14-year old friend went swimming at Cebe beach on Saturday afternoon.
He says they got into difficulty and went missing in the sea.
Manatha says East London Police divers commenced with a search operation, but they were not found.
The search continues on Sunday.
