Eastern Cape police are still searching for 4 suspects who robbed a bank in Jansenville of around R300 000 on Wednesday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Wessel Cronjé says 5 robbers gained access to the bank through the roof, and held the staff at gunpoint.
He says no shots were fired, and no-one was injured.
Cronjé says the suspects fled with the money in a car in the direction of Uitenhage, but the vehicle broke down about 30 kilometers outside the town.
He says the suspects fled on foot, but police arrested a 42-year old man, and recovered nearly R136-thousand.
He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
