Eastern Cape police have offered a R50 000 reward for information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects involved in the rape of five learners in Bityi in October last year.
Police said at the time that eight girls had gathered in a 'rondavel' to study for their matric exams when two suspects broke in and robbed and raped five of them.
Despite their ordeal, the young women opted to continue to write their exams, and they were honoured on Tuesday after they all achieved bachelor passes.
Police spokesperson Captain Welile Matyolo said the suspects also took cell phones from their victims.
