A 23-year-old woman will appear in court in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday on a charge of murder.
Police Constable Mncedi Mbombo, said the woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 53-year-old woman to death.
He said the incident happened on Monday night in Kwazakhele.
Mbombo says the two women were involved in an argument when the younger woman stabbed the older woman to death with a fork.
Meanwhile an Eastern Cape man has been jailed for life for kidnapping and raping his teenage niece.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, said the 37-year-old man was sentenced in the Butterworth Regional Court on Tuesday.
He said the accused was sentenced to 4 years in jail on the kidnappping charge and sentenced to life imprisonment on four charges of rape.
The sentences will run concurrently.
