Maclean town police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed his wife to death following an argument.
Police spokesperson, Nkosiko Mzuku, says the incident happened in a village at Newlands in Macleantown on Friday morning.
He says police were notified by a member of the public about the murder of the 48-year-old woman.
Lieutenant Mzuku says they are searching for the woman's 47-year-old husband.
He says an arrest is imminent.
Meanwhile, police in Nemato in Port Alfred have arrested two suspects following a robbery at a spaza shop on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula, says the men, who's faces were blackened, accosted the shop owner Thursday morning as he was removing money from a container.
They fled but were arrested a few hours after the incident.
Mjekula says the suspects, aged 21 and 22, will appear in court next week.
