Eastern Cape police have arrested three suspects aged between 23 and 40 at Engcobo and Cala, believed to be linked to a murder that was reported at Bityi at the beginning of the week.
Provincial spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana says three motor vehicles, believed to have been used in the crime, have been recovered.
He says one of the vehicles is suspected to have been hijacked in Idutywa and another was reportedly stolen in Cambridge.
Police also confiscated two 9mm pistols and live ammunition.
The suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday on charges of murder, house robbery, possession of stolen motor vehicles, and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
Brigadier Kinana says three more arrests are imminent.
