EC police arrest 17 for drunken driving near Township

 Eastern Cape police have arrested seventeen motorists for drunken driving in Butterworth.

Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says they were arrested near Zitu-lele Township over the weekend.

He says they were granted bail of R2000, and will appear in court soon.

Manatha says police also arrested 5 suspects for the possession of dagga and twelve for drunken and disorderly behaviour.

They too will appear in court soon.
