Police in Mount Ayliff are investigating a brutal murder which took place at the Singeni Locality on Monday night.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Zlungile Nkamba says the 33-year-old Zolile Nomaqaqa's body was found with a stab wound to his upper body and his eyes gouged out.
He says the deceased was last seen at a house where preparations for a circumcision was taking place.
The motive for the murder is not yet known and police have urged members of the public to come forward with information.
