Four men, aged between 18 and 22, have been arrested in Dutywa for murder, hijacking, kidnapping and robbery.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says a 58-year old woman was reported missing, after she failed to drop off her grandchild at a local school on Friday.
He says police followed up on information, which led them to the suspects.
Manatha says the suspects cooperated with the police and took them to a forest near Centane where the body of the woman and her burnt out vehicle were found.
He says the victim was hijacked and robbed of her valuables.
The four suspects are expected to appear in the Dutywa Magistrate Court soon.
