An Eastern Cape man appeared in court this week for allegedly shooting at a barking dog and then pointing his gun at the dog's owner.
Police said the man was arrested in Sweetwaters on Monday by members of the flying squad.
Its alleged that the man was walking past a house when the dog started barking at him.
The dog survived.
Police said the suspect faces several charges including attempted murder, discharging a firearm in a municipal area and handling a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
