An Eastern Cape man is in custody after being arrested on the N1 with 500kg's of dagga valued at nearly R1m.
Western Cape traffic chief, Kenny Africa, said the 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday night at a roadblock near Laingsburg.
He said traffic authorities searched his mini-bus and found 33 bags of dagga with an estimated street value of R993 000 inside a trailer.
The man will appear in court on Tuesday.
