A 61-year-old Eastern Cape man has sentenced to three life terms for raping three minor girls.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, said that the man was sentenced in the Butterworth Regional Court on Tuesday.
He said the Mgubela raped of the girls, aged 7, 8 and 10, during 2014 and 2015.
Manatha said that Eastern Cape welcomed the sentence, saying it would send a strong message to perpetrators of sexual violence against children.
