Police in Grahamstown have opened a culpable homicide docket after a man died after being bitten by dogs.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, said that incident happened in Xolani Location in Grahamstown.
“At 01:45 this morning a 32-year-old male was taken to Settlers Hospital with severe wounds to his arms, legs, torso and neck,” she said.
“Hospital staff attempted to resuscitate the man but in vain,” said Govender.
She said according to information received the victim was attacked by several dogs in Xolani location.
Govender said Joza detectives are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
