Two of the five initiates who were arrested in Berlin near East London on Sunday appeared briefly in the Mdantsane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
According to police spokesperson Captain Mluleki Mbi, the initiates allegedly attacked and killed a 62-year-old woman on Sunday night.
Mbi says the woman allegedly threatened the initiates whilst they were in their hut saying that they will all die.
He says they are between the ages of 16 and 20 and 1 of them is still in hospital under police guard.
He went on to say that the other two are juveniles who are still waiting for an assessment from a probation officer.
He added that they are all facing a charge of murder and their case was postponed for the 18 of January next year for a formal bail application.
