The Hawks in Mthatha are appealing to the public for help in finding a person they believe could help in “unlocking” the investigation into the murder of a police officer in July.
Hawks Eastern Cape spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, says they are looking for the person in the identikit provided.
He is being sought in connection with the murder of 54-year-old Sergeant Zukiswa Menyani who was gunned down by two men at her residence in Ntaka Locality, near Ngcobo in July.
She was attached to the Dalasile Police Station.
Captain Mgolodela said the motive for the police officer’s murder is not known and no arrests have yet been made.
She said anyone who can shed light on the whereabouts of the person being sought, should contact Detective Warrant Officer Melikhaya Jacob at 071 481 2903 or call the Crime Stop hotline at 08600 10111.
