The Hawks in the Eastern Cape are appealing to the public for help in tracing a woman who was found guilty of fleecing her employer out of R500 000.
Spokesperson, Captain Annelisa Ngcakani, said that 35-year-old Rhonda Zeelie was found guilty in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in Port Elizabeth last September.
Following her conviction, her bail of R2000 was extended but she failed to show up for sentencing on 18 October 2019 and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
Zeelie was employed as an accountant at an appliance company in Nelson Mandela Bay between 2017 and 2018.
Captain Ngcakani said anyone who may know her whereabouts is asked to contact the investigating officer, Constable Siviwe Lucwaba on 072 580 2553/ 041 408 2600.
