The Mdantsane couple that was allegedly involved in the murder of their 5-year-old daughter, Kungawo Mabusela in June last year, made a brief appearance in the local Magistrate's court on Tuesday.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Tsepo Ndwalaza, says 27-year-old Nosikhumbuzo Mabusela and her 31-year-old boyfriend Siphelo Melfin were arrested at their Postdam home a month after the alleged murder.
The couple was charged with murder, after the police dug up the deceased's decomposed body in a shallow grave in a garden near their home in July last year.
During one of their court appearances, Mabusela said Melfin assaulted the deceased with a stick and that this lead to her death.
The couple's legal aid representative had to be changed in Court as she is related to Mabusela.
Their case was postponed for the 3rd of next month so that another attorney can be allocated to them.
