Eastern Cape police are offering a hefty reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of four dangerous prisoners still on the run.
Ntlantle Mvoko, Sonwabile Makhongo, Menzi Zekane and Zwelithini Gibeni overpowered two policemen who were escorting them back to Mthatha's Wellington prison after a court appearance last month.
A woman was also killed near Butterworth as they allegedly tried to hijack her vehicle and when this failed they hijacked another car which was later found abandoned.
Provincial police spokesperson, major Ernest Sigobe, says they are offering a R50 000reward to anyone who can assist the police in closing the case.
He says they should call their nearest police station.
