Two Eastern Cape children were killed and 14 others injured in a horror accident Sunday.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said “ a sedan turned in the face of oncoming traffic at the R347 turn off to King .â€
“A Grens High school min- bus was hit by this vehicle lost control and hit a tree. 16 school kids were injured.,†Bramwell said.
" One child from the school mini bus was fatally injured and a child plus minus five years was also fatally injured in the sedan,†he said.
“The driver of light motor vehicle was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol and has been taken for blood tests,†Bramwell added.
He said of those injured in the crash five were in a serious condition while six were slightly injured.
The names of the children have not yet been released.
A case of culplable homicide is under investigation.
