A motorcyclist has been killed while en route to a rally in Graaff-Reinet.
Uitenhage police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, says the accident happened on Friday morning on the R75 close to Bluecliff.
"It is alleged that the 38-year-old PE motorcyclist was travelling towards Graaff-Reinet when he allegedly lost control of the motorbike when he approached a bend," she said.
Swart said that fellow motorcyclists became concerned and turned around to find the biker lying next to his motorcycle.
"The 38-year-old man had already passed on when his friends found him," she said.
The name of the deceased will be released after his next of kin have been informed.
