Eastern Cape rape suspect arrested

A 19-year old suspect has been arrested at Ngunduza Village, Centane for the rape of a 5- year old victim.

Police captain Jackson Manatha says the man allegedly raped the child repeatedly at his home on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday and is being held at the Centane Police Station.

Captain Manatha says he's due to appear in court next Tuesday on a charge of rape.
