Eastern Cape Premier, Lubabalo Mabuyane has announced a cabinet reshuffle following the axing of Sindiswa Gomba as the Health MEC in the province last month.
Gomba was fired after being implicated in fraud and money laundering allegations alongside 13 others and companies relating to Nelson Mandela's funeral.
In a media briefing on Tuesday morning, Mabuyane announced the former MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform, Nomakhosazana Meth as the new Health MEC.
Nonqubela Peters will replace Meth at the Department while Nonceba Khonziwe has been placed as the new Human Settlements MEC in the province.
All three MEC's have been sworn-in and Premier Mabuyane said he has full confidence in the appointees.
"The people we have appointed are capable of leading these departments and we have confidence in them to provide leadership that is needed for the department to meet their constitutional mandate and as well respond to our constitutional mandate as the 6th administration."
Premier Mabuyane also appealed to the public, government officials and employees to support the appointees in carrying out their respective duties.
