EAST LONDON, August 3 (ANA) – Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle voted at the Beacon Hurst Primary School voting station in East London on Wednesday.
Masualle braved the cold and wet weather conditions in the Buffalo City metro to cast his vote in what he described as “an important decision for people to make”.
Masualle also said that he was happy to have cast his vote.
“I’m happy because I know I have made an important decision as to who will lead me in my local community. Voting for a government that will make us all happy is also very important,” said Masualle.
The Buffalo City municipality will be augmented by 24 voting stations in four different blocks.
Another high profile figure is expected to cast their ballot vote today in East London. Buffalo City mayoral candidate Xola Pakati is expected to vote at the Electoral Commission of South Africa’s (IEC) tent in Morningside.
