Eastern Cape MEC to meet with specialists over Tsolo agriculture institute's curriculum

With only a few months to the start of the full academic programme at the Tsolo Agriculture Institute next year, Rural Development and Agrarian Reform MEC, Mlibo Qoboshiyane will meet with specialists and government officials about the curriculum preparations in East London on Sunday.

The department says the team of vets, animal health technicians and Tsolo officials met over three days to develop learning and teaching material for first year modules.

It says it re-opened the college to offer animal health programmes with an 18-month programme currently underway in Tsolo.

MEC Qoboshiyane told Algoa FM News at Agri Eastern Cape's annual congress in Port Elizabeth last week that it was government's duty is to create an environment that is conducive to farming.
