An elderly Eastern Cape man who was brutally assaulted during a robbery in Cathcart, has died.
The 70-year-old man was attacked last weekend while locking up the local bowling club.
He was in a coma and declared brain dead.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Namhla Mdleleni, says the suspects are still at large.
On Wednesday local residents held a march to hand over a memorandum condemning rising crime in Cathcart.
