The South African Weather Service in Port Elizabeth has released the rainfall figures for the Easter Weekend.
According to the latest figures released by the Municipality, the total combined capacity of Nelson Mandela Bay's main supply dams is currently at 45.58%
These figures do not include the substantial run-off that can be expected into the dams over the next few days.
Rain received over the last 48 hours in the catchment areas:
Kouga dam 36.5 mm
Joubertina 37.8 mm
Patensie 34.6 mm
The largest supply dam, the Kouga, is currently at 45.83%, the Churchill at 97.20%, the Impofu at 26.76% and Groendal at 52.06%
A spokesperson for SAWeather Garth Sampson says the seasonal forecast is proving accurate.
