East London police are searching for a murder suspect after the bodies of a 33-year-old man and his 35-year-old girlfriend were found in Duncan Village on Friday.
Spokesperson, Captain Hazel Mqala says the suspect kicked the door of their shack open and attacked the couple with a sharp object.
She says neighbours found the bodies lying in a pool of blood.
They had sustained multiple stab wounds to their upper bodies.
Captain Mqala says it is alleged that the suspect was the ex-boyfriend of the woman.
She says the suspect is known and he will be arrested soon.
