One person has died and two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision involving a bakkie and a sedan on the M17 road just outside Motherwell in Gqeberha.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the crash occurred on Sunday night at around 08.30.
She said a Toyota Tazz and an Isuzu bakkie collided head-on.
The driver of the bakkie died on the scene, while the other driver sustained serious injuries.
Naidu said another vehicle, a Mercedes Benz, also rammed into the back of the bakkie, and the driver sustained minor injuries.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation by Swartkops Police.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
