Driver killed after colliding with concrete bin in East London

East London Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after the male driver of a Toyota Tazz collided with a concrete bin and hit a tree in Vincent earlier on Friday.

Captain Mluleki Mbi says the accident happened on the corner of Devereux Avenue and Surry Road.

The driver died on the scene.

There were four other passengers in the vehicle and they were all rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

The vehicle had a Cape Town (CA) registration number.
