A Port Elizabeth man has been taken into custody in connection with an accident over the weekend in which an NMMU student and part time model was killed.
Twenty-two-year old Jean Louis Matthee died after his motorcycle was in a collission with a Mercedes Benz on the corner of Forest Hill and La Roche Drive.
The driver reportedly fled the scene.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the 49-year-old driver handed himself over to police on Tuesday morning.
She says he was arrested and will appear in court on Tuesday.
He faces a charge of culpable homicide.
