Mdantsane Police are investigating two cases of murder, following the discovery of the bodies of two men not far from each other near the Grinaker Dam outside East London on Thursday.
Police captain Mluleki Mbi says one of the victims had a gunshot wound to the head and the other had stab wounds to the body.
Both men are estimated to be in their 40's.
A firearm and a knife were found next to one of the bodies.
Mbi says police were passing by when they noticed a black sedan parked with its doors wide open and the key still in the ignition.
They then searched the area and discovered the bodies of the two men who have yet to be identified.
