Three dogs were confiscated by the SPCA in Mossel Bay on Wednesday after a security company captured footage of children orchestrating an illegal dog fight.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Kappie Kapp says they assisted the SPCA to the scene in Boland Park.
He says when they arrived at the scene the dogs were already gone but there was clear evidence of the horrific fight that took place earlier.
Sergeant Kapp says upon further investigation led them to the injured dogs in JCC Camp as well as to the dog owners who are all minors.
Kapp says the dogs were confiscated and are being cared for while the children will all be charged with child neglect, once the investigation has been completed.
