PORT ELIZABETH, June 28 (ANA) – Police in Despatch in the Eastern Cape have launched a manhunt for four suspects who allegedly threatened a family with firearms and robbed their home, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, said the incident took place on Tuesday night while the family were watching TV at their home in Khayamnandi.
“It is alleged that the owner, 41, and his family were busy watching TV at their home in Mathew Goniwe Street, Khayamnandi, when four armed suspects entered the house and threatened them.
“The suspects took electrical appliances, a tablet, TVs, cash and fled,” said Swart.
Swart said there were no injuries or fatalities.
Police are requesting anyone with information to contacts Despatch SAPS.
