The death toll in the raging fires along the Garden Route has risen to eight.
A police Spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said the victims were two women and six children, all under the age of 12.
Pojie said all the victims lived in the Karatara area.
He said the one female victim was in a late stage of pregnancy.
Pojie says the bodies were discovered in houses that burned down in the Farleigh area.
Residents are currently being evacuated from the Rheenendal area as well, purely as precautionary measure and they are being housed in the town hall in Knysna
George municipality says the Outeniqua and Montagu Passes remain closed.
The Robinson Pass was closed for a short while due to a fallen tree at Ruiterbos, but this has since been removed and the pass has been re-opened.
The Municipality says all fire lines remain active.
