Mystery surrounds the deadly attack on an Eastern Cape mini bus driver who died after shots were fired at his vehicle on Thursday.
Provincial traffic Deputy Director Charles Bramwell says the incident happened on the R347 between East London and Mount Coke.
He says the mini-bus was transporting four passengers when unknown gunmen opened fire.
Bramwell says the vehicle left the road and came to a standstill in the bushes.Police are trying to establish the motive for the attack.
