A multi-disciplinary operation between several units of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal police has led to the seizure of more than R1 million worth of dagga at Molteno.
Captain Mali Govender say two men aged 38 and 42 were also arrested after police followed up on information that four vehicles would be travelling through the Eastern Cape to the Western Cape transporting dagga.
At around 8pm on Sunday, a Toyota Quantum pulling a trailer was stopped in Molteno.
Upon inspection, it was discovered that the trailer was filled to the brim with 34 large compressed bags of dagga.
Six zip lock bags containing dagga were found inside the vehicle.
The suspects will appear in the local magistrate's court early this week.
