Dagga of more than R79 000 found in bus


A task team from the Grahamstown policing cluster stopped a  long distance bus on the N2 opposite the Settlers Monument in Grahamstown Thursday night.

Captain Mali  Govender says two bags containing compressed dagga was found and traced to a 35 year old woman travelling from Durban enroute to  Riversdale.

She was arrested for possession of dagga weighing 26.4 kilogrammes and valued at R79 200.00.

She will appear in the Grahamstown Magistrates court on Monday.
