Police in Mthatha arrested a 42-year-old man who was selling dagga to students at the Walter Sisulu Campus.
The man, who is not a student at the University, was found in possession of dagga weighing 5.628kg with a street value of R5 628.
Police Spokesperson Captain Dineo Koena says he also had R1 245 in cash.
The arrest follows after police received a tip-off about a man selling dagga on campus.
The information was shared with police late on Tuesday night.
The suspect will appear in the Mthatha Magistrates court on Wednesday.
